THE ROLE OF CREATIVE TASKS IN THE FORMATION OF COGNITIVE INTEREST IN MATHEMATICS

Abstract. The article is devoted to substantiating the role of creative tasks in the formation of students’ cognitive interest in mathematics as a pressing pedagogical problem within the framework of implementing the tasks of strategic planning of the activities of educational organizations. Creative activity in the article is considered as a person’s readiness to put forward new ideas and approaches, the ability to independently assimilate knowledge in the process of search and research activities. The general education system faces serious challenges, the most important among which today is improving the quality of education to the level of international standards. The main priorities of the education system are the qualitative growth of human capital, the development of the intellectual and educational potential of modern society, the use of effective methods, methods and mechanisms for educating the future generation, highly moral, creatively thinking, capable of self-education and self-development, flexible adaptation in rapidly changing realities life and work, to the perception and generation of innovative effective solutions. In this regard, the author of the article puts forward the thesis that the sustainable development of the education system, society and the state as a whole largely depends on what generation the secondary school will educate, what specialists the university will prepare, and, accordingly, how much the education system will ensure development human capital based on sustainable cognitive interest, intensification of the educational process aimed at students mastering the experience of searching, acquiring, transforming and applying subject knowledge and methods of activity, as well as achieving meta-subject and personal results. The article presents creative, non-standard tasks as the main means of developing students’ cognitive interest in mathematics.
