Abstract. Modern realities require high-quality knowledge of a foreign language. It is an effective tool for effective communication, improving general culture and developing students. It is also a means of career growth and advancement. In addition, the cultural component is important when learning a foreign language. The student must not only master the rules of grammar, vocabulary, word formation and be able to construct sentences. He must master a foreign language culture to fully understand the foreign interlocutor. Intercultural communication represents communication between different cultures and social groups and can be direct or indirect. Direct communication is determined by direct contacts between representatives of different cultures, indirect communication is carried out through language, speech, electronic communication, and writing. The article reveals the importance of foreign languages ​​in intercultural communication at the present stage of widespread international cooperation, and also focuses on strategies for intercultural communication. The relevance of the article lies in the need to develop aspects of high-quality intercultural communication and the implementation of all its strategies, as well as the importance of the cultural component in such communication. The subject of the research is a foreign language, as well as intercultural strategies. The novelty of the work lies in the development of recommendations necessary for effective intercultural interaction. The practical significance of the work is presented by materials that can be used in the academic process at universities.
