Abstract. Additive manufacturing represents an innovative production method that requires efficient management of intellectual assets in the form of designs and object models. Consequently, the research article focuses on the challenge of protecting intellectual property in the design and manufacturing sphere, proposing a solution using decentralized technologies. The primary aim of the study is to explore the potential of blockchain technology as means to enhance reliability in managing and safeguarding intellectual property in additive manufacturing. The research methodology is based on a systematic review of documents regarding the application of blockchain technology for managing industrial assets and protecting creators’ rights. Information from two groups of documents, including relevant scientific articles and statistical data, was processed to develop a blockchain platform model for intellectual property in additive manufacturing. The research findings encompass the application of blockchain technologies in copyright protection and potential foundations for creating a new platform based on smart contracts, specialized tokens, and other incentives within the system. Application experience of decentralized technologies globally and in Russia is examined. The conclusions highlight the importance of using blockchain technologies to ensure confidentiality and reliability in exchanging project files. The concept of a new digital platform represents a promising tool for copyright protection in modern production, ensuring security, efficiency, and an innovative approach to managing intellectual property in the digital environment. The article provides valuable information for specialists in blockchain technologies, intellectual property, and cloud manufacturing, as well as researchers interested in developing new approaches to protecting and managing digital assets.
Keywords: intellectual property, blockchain, additive manufacturing, decentralized platforms, digital asset management, copyright protection.
