Abstract. At present, in Russia, for a number of reasons, there is a tendency towards an increase in children with disabilities and persons with disabilities (HIA). The category of such children is heterogeneous, but their common main feature is a violation or developmental delay. In the context of the modernization of Russian education, based on the social order of society, the problem of psychological and pedagogical support for children with disabilities, i.e. creating optimal conditions for their development, upbringing and education. Children with sensory integration disorder experience significant learning problems and, if not helped, their ability to succeed in school will be significantly reduced by these disorders. The implementation of psychological and pedagogical support and correction of children with disabilities makes the educational process accessible to all children, regardless of their level of intellectual and physical abilities. One of the areas of psychological and pedagogical support and correction of children with disabilities is to provide a student-centered approach to the educational process. This approach is based on the application of innovative technologies of education and upbringing, taking into account the personal needs of each student. The education of children with special educational needs provides for the creation of a special correctional and developmental environment for them, providing adequate conditions and equal opportunities with ordinary children for education, treatment and rehabilitation, education and training, correction of developmental disorders, social adaptation. In connection with the activation of psychological and pedagogical support for children with disabilities, researchers have increased interest in studying the patterns of formation of the personality of a child with disabilities (HIA), the search for effective means and methods for correcting their personal development.
