Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the psychological and pedagogical aspects of the image of the head of a modern educational organization, which should combine both the role of a leader and the role of a teacher. The formation of a professional image is a laborious process and the result of self-knowledge and self-development. In the development of the image of the head of an educational organization and the individual style of pedagogical activity, the formation of a personal image is considered a priority. In recent years, there has been an increase in the interest shown in the methods of forming the image of the head of an educational organization. Meanwhile, a holistic concept that answers the questions of favorable formation of the image of the head of an educational organization has not yet been created. The legislative base of the Russian Federation does not contain acts regulating the image of a leader. However, it should be noted that the prerequisites for the development of recommendations for the formation of a professional image are already very widely represented in domestic and foreign theoretical literature. Formation of a professional image of the head of an educational organization is a very laborious and complex process. For its implementation, the leader must go through a very difficult path of self-knowledge and self-development. Among the most important components of the image building structure is the component of the correspondence between the professional image of the teacher, the leader and his personal internal image. As well as a component of communication using verbal and non-verbal means and the formation of an aesthetically appropriate appearance. The article deals with the essence of the concepts of “image”, “professional image” of the modern head of an educational organization. The importance of a professional image for the implementation of successful activities is being updated. Psychological and pedagogical aspects of the image of the head of an educational organization, his professional and personal qualities are analyzed.
