Abstract. The economic development is at the intersection of key global trends – greening and digitalization. Therefore, the scientific community is faced with the task of identifying the integration effect of the green and digital economy. Their conceptual approaches need to search and substantiate interconnections and interdependencies in order to build a holistic picture of the modern economy, which should, at the same time, ensure sustainable development. The digital needs of the green economy must be met through the prism of sustainable development. The purpose of the article is to determine the directions of fundamental research on the relationship between the concepts of “digital” and “green” economy and their influence on the processes of sustainable development of territories, which make it possible to substantiate methodological approaches to the digital transformation of the “green” economy aimed at achieving its sustainability. As a result of the study, the following areas have been identified: the formation of a new vision of the concept of green economic growth based on the introduction of digital technologies; study of the challenges and threats to achieving the goals of sustainable development of the territory during greening and digitalization of the economy; summarizing the best practices for introducing digital technologies into the economy that ensure green development; identification of positive and negative effects of the use of information technologies in the context of the implementation of the principles of green economy, the development of the idea of “ecology of technologies”; identification of promising areas of digitalization of the green economy (for example, the use of end-to-end digital technologies in logistics, smart agriculture, reforestation, energy, solid waste disposal, etc.); offering solutions for the digitalization of the green economy based on mathematical, software, hardware and technical methods for monitoring and maintaining eco-objects and eco-phenomena.

Keywords: “green” economy, digital technologies, sustainable development, end-to-end technologies, big data, artificial intelligence, data mining.
