Abstract. In this paper, theoretical approaches to the study of the problem of resilience and stress resistance of schoolchildren and students were considered. The aim of the study was to determine the individual psychological characteristics of the relationship between resilience and stress resistance of schoolchildren and students in the process of educational activities. The tasks of the research are formulated, such as the analysis of theoretical approaches to the study of the phenomenon of “resilience”, “stress” and “stress resistance”; diagnosis and comparative analysis of resilience and stress resistance of schoolchildren and students. In accordance with the purpose and objectives, an empirical study of the relationship between resilience and stress resistance of schoolchildren and students in educational activities was conducted. Based on a comprehensive theoretical and empirical study, some conclusions were obtained. Resilience has a direct relationship scales: involvement, control and risk taking, resilience also has an inverse dependence on the stress, thus, the greater the rate of low resistance to stress, the lower will be the indicator of viability. The resilience of high school students is significantly higher than that of students, due to the high level of engagement, control and acceptance, as well as due to the high resistance to stress due to a narrow range of stressors. The resilience of senior students is lower than that of schoolchildren, due to a wider range of stressors, since during this period of life students experience constant stress due to lack of time, exams, problems in their personal life, at work.

Keywords: resilience, stress tolerance, high school students, students, scales of engagement, risk control and acceptance, indicator of low resistance to stress, range of stressors, and level of resilience.
