Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis and description of the specifics of the formation of professional competence of students – future primary school teachers as a condition for the implementation of labor functions included in the professional standard “Teacher (pedagogical activity in the field of preschool, primary general, basic general, secondary general education) (educator, teacher)” … In connection with the transition to the new Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Education (FSES HE), as well as the introduction of the relevant new generation standards in the general education school, the requirements for the competence of the graduate of the university in the pedagogical direction of training, and, accordingly, for the professional activity of the teacher, have changed significantly. A specific feature of the professional activity of a primary school teacher is that it cannot be represented in the form of strict algorithms. since the teacher’s daily work is aimed at pedagogical search for new solutions to educational problems. This is especially true of the pedagogical activity of a primary school teacher, since it is this period that is considered the most favorable for building educational and educational activities not only as a process of mastering universal educational actions that form the basis of students’ cognitive activity, but also as a process of forming their personal qualities, including each student into the material and informational educational environment of the school. Taking into account the modern labor market requirements for professional pedagogical competence, it should be noted that the main goal of the primary school teacher is to achieve the planned results of primary general education, namely: personal, meta-subject and subject. This goal is realized on the basis of a functional map of the type of professional activity presented in the professional standard.
