Abstract. This article considers the peculiarities of organizing architectural and urban tours. The role of these excursions in the formation of an individual’s interest in cultural and historical heritage, in the education of love and respect for the talent of architects who created unique buildings during different periods of development of our country is shown. The possibilities of both functional use of the presented buildings and structures, as well as their cultural value, including architectural values, are taken into account. Method of carrying out excursion in conditions of a particular city is presented, some methods are considered, which help to keep attention of excursionists. A detailed description of the process of perception of works of architecture is also given, where the emphasis is placed on the fact that public buildings are especially often included in the visual series of excursions. In the architecture of public buildings, it is important to show viewers the conformity of architectural structures with their purpose, to emphasize the fact that the needs of public life provoke the emergence of new types of public buildings. The importance of restoration work is noted, which shows the measures taken by state bodies to preserve cultural monuments in general, architecture in particular. Unique signs of little-known sights of Ufa are described, which today are used for municipal or commercial purposes.
