Abstract. The article analyzes the development processes of world domestic education on an innovative basis. The essence, content and logic of educational innovation in Russia are determined. The article considers the specifics of military education innovation, especially in the field of informatization of the educational process. The author analyzes the effectiveness of the applied forms and teaching methods, the problems of creating a multilevel information and educational environment under the conditions of information closeness. The problem of humanization of military education, changes in approaches to managing the professional training of military specialists is posed. A special place is given to the humanization of vocational education in military universities. The contradictions existing in the system of military education are analyzed. The necessity of creating internal conditions for its development in military education is noted. The authors come to the conclusion that in the study of the problems and contradictions in the development of military education caused by innovations in management, it is possible to establish the existence of contradictions between innovation policy and its implementation in practice, which determine the problem of innovation management. They emphasize that in the pedagogical plan, the most important are the internal conditions for the development of education, which are the reactions of the education system to problems and existing contradictions.
