Abstract. The results of an analytical study related to various aspects related to the implementation of youth policy in Russia and China are presented. Young people, as a socio-demographic group, possessing special characteristics characteristic only of it, potentially having a huge potential of vitality, represent an important state and public resource of any country. The current socio-economic situation that has developed in Russia requires the fundamentalization of education, orientation of professional training of young people to the conditions of a market economy, a high degree of subjectivity of the young generation in society, which should be manifested in its vitality, active work, communication and interaction with the outside world, developed self-awareness . From this, first of all, it follows that the subjectivity of youth is a necessary factor and condition for the development of the country. This situation requires the creation of optimal conditions for effective self-organization and self-realization of youth, the maximum development of their social and professional competence, social activity and responsibility. The main problem of Russia and China, in the field of youth policy, are the issues of stimulating youth employment. Particular attention is paid to the professional orientations of young people, taking into account both their individual needs and the needs of Russia and China in specialists of a certain direction and profile. The situation of employment of Russian and Chinese youth in various sectors of the economy is analyzed.
