Abstract. It is undeniable that social economic conditions and the rapidly advancing technologies require a modern doctor to constantly upgrade his or her professional knowledge. That’s why the development of educational services aimed at satisfying needs of potential trainees in further training programs, is one the most important tasks of a medical university. Having at their disposal huge equipment of fundamental biomedical knowledge and professional higher-education teaching personnel, medical universities can easily compete in the market for such educational services. But still, according to a poll there is a need t to reconsider approaches to the organization of further training courses for doctors. The results of the poll are revealed in the article.  The authors of the given study suggest developing a special information educational environment of a medical university as an effective means of organizing further training courses for doctors. Conceptual bases of the development of such an environment are presented in the article.
