Abstract. Modern trends in the development of the engineering industry impose high consumer demands on the quality of products, which leads to the need for enterprises to search for new mechanisms in the field of management. In this connection, the purpose of this study is to identify approaches to sustainable development, ensuring high quality products, the effectiveness of business processes, economic stability, as well as fulfillment of obligations in the field of environmental and social responsibility. The article substantiates the importance of introducing a quality management system in the enterprise’s activities, aimed at ensuring continuous quality improvement and, as a result, increasing customer satisfaction, as well as other interested parties, which will improve the efficiency of operations and take a stable position in the market. The analysis of the state of development of mechanical engineering, including identifying existing problems in the industry. The principles of quality management and sustainable development of the enterprise are considered, and an integrated model of requirements of the standards ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 20121:2012 is developed. Quality management tools were applied: communications graph – determining the causes of the problem «Failure to meet the requirements of interested parties»; tree diagram – systematization of stakeholders and their requirements; matrix diagram – identification of key stakeholders and business processes that influence the implementation of their requirements. The proposed recommendations will allow the company to improve the management system and make it more «transparent» for management and other interested parties.

Keywords: quality management system, mechanical engineering, sustainable development, process, stakeholders, ISO standards.
