BINGINGISM IN THE CONTEXT OF SOCIAL PEDAGOGY

Abstract. The article discusses issues related to the development and formation of social pedagogy in Russia, its role in the development of modern man, the system of emerging relations in the multicultural community, bilingualism, its role in shaping the personality of the teacher and his professional activities. The authors stand in the position that is expressed in the fact that today bilingual education is the sociocultural norm of every citizen of any country, and bilingual competence is the necessary reality in the professional activity of any specialist in the educational sphere. Bilingualism, considered in the context of social pedagogy, is a necessary means and mechanism that determines the effectiveness of the adaptation and socialization of the modern person in a multicultural society. Good knowledge of languages ​​and cultures of different nations, contributes to the spiritual enrichment of man, develops his feelings and intelligence. In general, the bilingual basis of consciousness and the worldview of a modern person allows him to be an open personality, ready for harmonious interaction with the outside world, able to adequately perceive the diversity of national cultures, understand their characteristics, and be ready for a productive dialogue.
