 Summary. In article problems of formation of culture of international communication and the all-Russian consciousness of students in the process of studying of the course “History of Domestic Literature” in higher education institution are considered. The special attention is paid to searches of ways of interface of cultures when studying works in which the issue of international communication is directly or indirectly touched. As a methodological basis the author uses the principle of dialogue of cultures. When studying the Russian literature in the offered aspect the author considers important to lead students to thought of a community of people of different nationalities and religions, need of mercy and forgiveness as an indispensable condition of consistency of national and all-Russian consciousness.

The author sees the solution of objectives and in inclusion in the course “Stories of Domestic Literature” of works of writers – representatives of national literatures. For example, Avar R. Gamzatov of Balkar K. Kuliyev, Bashkir M. Karim in whose works most brightly express the feeling by poets of close connection with the native people, its culture and traditions, and at the same time with Russia. The author considers important when studying works of poets and writers of other people to show thoughts of writers about cultural values of the other people, about the solution of educational problems at the description of human relations of the other nationalities. The author believes expediently in the considered course and studying of works of the national writers writing in Russian (for example, V. Bykov, Ch. Aitmatov). Humanistic pathos of the works drawing life, moral principles of the people of once common cultural space testifies to need of unity of the ethnic and all-Russian consciousness of a person which is a basis of culture of the international relations.
