Abstract. The article analyzes the current problems of Russian society and its Armed Forces in the context of a hybrid war. The absence of a intelligible ideology of Russia, generally recognized national values fixed by the state, deprives Russian education of the value foundations of upbringing, which leads to serious flaws in the moral and political education of young people. In the Armed Forces, the institution of military-political bodies being created today, by virtue of the above, does not fully use the possibilities of military pedagogy and political technologies in the moral and political education of servicemen. The article analyzes the Soviet experience of political education and the possibility of its use in modern conditions, based on the national idea of patriotism, the traditional values of Russia and its Armed Forces. The authors believe that the transmission and formation of political culture in society contribute (or vice versa) to subcultures in multi-ethnic, multi-confessional countries (traditions, stereotypes, political myths, ideals, symbols, political rituals, etc.). Being integrated in the process of political education, political ideas, concepts, feelings, moods, values, ideologies formulate the political consciousness of the individual, which is the most important factor in influencing political life and the dynamics of the development of society and its institutions. His state-patriotic orientation is especially significant in the officer environment. The task of the officer corps is to implement the military policy of the state, thereby ensuring the independence and political subjectivity of the country.

Keywords: war, politics, morality, morale, moral and political education.
