Abstract. The introduction of a quality management system allows you to link into a single whole interacting and interconnected processes that make up the essence of the activities of any enterprise, as well as direct the work of departments to achieve the main goal – meeting the requirements and expectations of both consumers and other interested parties, which ensures sustainable development, including including financial stability. Therefore, enterprises pay special attention to the control system in order to ensure the quality of products, as well as ensure the uniformity of measurements. Laboratories are one of the key facilities in this matter. In this connection, the purpose of this study is to identify approaches to improve the laboratory’s quality management system. The article substantiates the importance of introducing quality management methods into the laboratory’s activities in order to ensure the functioning of the quality management system. Nonconformities in the laboratory are identified using quality management methods, and recommendations for their elimination are proposed. The implementation of these measures will allow the laboratory to improve the implemented key processes and ensure the compliance of the quality management system with the established requirements.

Keywords: quality management system, FMEA analysis, progress chart, control chart, nonconformity, laboratory.
