Abstract. The article analyzes the impact of terrorism on the development of world tourism. The subject of the article seems to be relevant, since recently there has been an increase in terrorist acts against tourists and tourism in general. The article provides a general analysis of the development of terrorism and its impact on the economies of countries, formulating theoretical statements explaining the relationship of tourism and terrorism, determining the motives for committing terrorist acts. The conclusion contains a list of possible measures that can prevent terrorist acts and minimize their consequences for travelers. The purpose of the study is to analyze the international experience of the activities that prevent terrorist acts and propose measures to improve them. The results of the study-a set of measures necessary to improve the safety of tourists and minimize the threat of terrorist acts in tourist areas
