COMPETENCE PARADIGM OF PREPARATION OF SOCIAL TEACHERS

Abstract. The article deals with the problem of training a competent specialist in higher professional education. The author believes that this problem remains one of the most pressing at the present stage of reforming the education system, associated primarily with the change in the strategic model, with the transition from the qualification model to the competency model. The new pedagogical paradigm serves as the main strategy for training competitive specialists in the context of the integration of national education systems into a single global educational space. In this regard, the task of scientists, educators, psychologists is to develop and concretize this strategic model. The analysis of the conceptually competence-based content of the professional training system of a specialist allows us to speak about the competency-based model as an effective target-based design of the educational process of training a specialist taking into account the modern requirements of the labor market and the demands of society. According to the author, the competence paradigm in the integral pedagogical process of a higher education institution adequately solves the task of both preparing a professionally and culturally oriented specialist, and forming the position of “success” of an individual in all spheres of society’s activities, which meets the needs of society in ensuring social stability and prosperity of society, as well as productive self-identity.
